Abstract

|
Cytogenetic studies were carried out at total 403 cases of peripheral blood samples at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Population, Medical Research Center, Seoul National University from January to December 2001. We analyed data to evaluate frequencies of major and variant chromosome abnormalities. The results of karyotyping, chromosome were indentified in 21.9% of the referred cases. In abnormal chromosome results, numberical aberrations were 31.8%, structural aberrations 39.7% and mosaicism were 25% in peripheral blood samples. This chromosomal analysis will be served information for diagnosis of genetic problems and make possible genetic counseling.
